The Ixion room contains multiple frescoes executed in the intricate style of the middle of the first century CE in Pompeii.

IXION ROOM

This Roman fresco portrays Terentius Neo clutching a scroll and posing with his wife who is seen holding a writing tablet and a stylus.

VILLA DI GIULIA FELICE

Also recognized as the Fayum mummy portraits, these naturalistic paintings were made in Egypt under Roman rule and were part of the mummification process.
